We have deep connections to sights and sounds from our childhoods, here are some I grew up with that live in the dusty attic that is my brain.
Final frames:
The atmosphere of the scene was very important to me, getting the right mood and glow from the TV was essential to the feel of the piece.
The footage on the TV was sourced from old commercials from the 90's and early 2000's and cut together, after being cut together the main goal was to create the "CRT" look to replicate the footage playing on a old television. After I achieved the look I wanted I did the same too the footage on the Game boy. This was then added to the 3D scene so it would effect the lighting within the scene.
Worn down posters: to add a more lived in feel I took HD images of old posters and gave them a bit of TLC in Photoshop to give them a more used and worn look.
